About Me
About Me
I am a current Hofstra student pursuing my Dual-Degree Bachelors and Master of Arts in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. I am expected to graduate in May of 2027. I am most well-known for my work across a myriad of different mediums, including my radio work at 88.7 FM WRHU, my physical and digital print work for the Hofstra Chronicle, and my television work with Hofstra's HEAT Network. Most recently, I was recognized as Air Talent of the Year in 2024 for WRHU's News Team.
My interest in media and journalism began my junior year of High School, where I interviewed and composed a research article about a contemporary political issue that interested me. While the article was primarily academic in nature, the process of interviewing and composing an article was extremely enjoyable and interesting. This article specifically focused on Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming people's acceptability in the wake of Anti-Transgender legislation in the United States. From there, upon entering university at Hofstra, I began instantly on print and digital work in the Hofstra Chronicle and joined WRHU.
In my short time in university, I've already become an anchor and producer for 88.7 FM WRHU's Newsline coverage, which features the largest Radio News Team in Long Island. As previously mentioned, I was awarded WRHU Air Talent of the Year for the News Department, having only worked with 88.7 FM WRHU for one semester. I was selected as 1 of 2 student reporters to go the Democratic National Convention in Chicago with 88.7FM WRHU-FM. I was also selected to be 1 of 2 Regional Desk Reporters for the HEAT Network’s 2024 Hofstra Votes Live Election Broadcast. In May, I was promoted to Assistant News Editor at the Hofstra Chronicle and was recently selected to be a Weather Reporter for the HEAT Network's Hofstra Today production.
